Next question is what for intentionally interact with anyone? As an exploration–exploitation dilemma it brings both risks and rewards: solidarity, fun, support vs misunderstanding, judgement, rejection.

Social interactions bring into play the personality traits which may be dormant in solitude, for better or worse. The major ones seem to be:

  • Moral integrity vs Narcissism
  • Faith in humanity vs Psychopathy
  • Humanism vs Machiavellianism
  • Empathy vs Sadism

Are these binary? Meaning it’s always one or the other to some degree, and the middle path is only the solitude of a Schrödinger personality in a black box? Surely one can disregard any “imperfect duties” and rot in peace as nature intended, without actively influencing anyone else. Seems to be similar to the “poetic life orientation” by Heidegger, LOL.

Maybe the middle path is CHAOS? Tired of trying to be a saint all the time – toss a coin to decide what gets the boot! The Universe™️ delegated a decision, and it’s been delegated back, you’re the boss now! Just gotta be prepared to file for a moral bankruptcy if not done already.
